Serving the Community Since 1974
The organization now known as The Spectrum Network began its journey on September 16, 1974, when an activity center opened its doors in the basement of Grace Episcopal Church in Decorah, serving just 13 consumers.
Since then, we’ve grown and evolved, changing our name to Spectrum Industries, Inc. in 1986, and operating as The Spectrum Network since 2006. Today, we employ 15 dedicated staff who serve at least 70 consumers across Northeast Iowa, primarily in Winneshiek and Howard counties.
Programs and Services at The Spectrum Network
Over the years, we’ve expanded our services to meet better the diverse needs of those we serve. Today, our programs include day habilitation services, community-based employment services, including job coaching and job development, and home-based habilitation.
At The Spectrum Network, we’re focused on helping individuals develop new skills and competencies so they can thrive in their communities. We are committed to growth and innovation, continuously finding new ways to empower consumers to find meaningful work, achieve independence, and succeed in their daily lives.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we continue to serve and support individuals in Northeast Iowa, making a positive impact on both individuals and the communities where they live.
