Programs & Services
We help adults with many types of obstacles, including mental illness, disability, and chemical dependence. We also have a transition program for high school students.
Helping People Work
Work is an important part of who we are. It challenges us physically and intellectually, gives us economic stability, and connects us to our communities.
We help people work. In our employment program, we help people find and keep jobs. In our training area, we teach basic job skills and help clients learn the social skills needed to thrive in the workplace.
Supporting the Day-to-Day
Sometimes people need extra support with day-to-day tasks, like ordering in a restaurant, balancing a checkbook, or washing the dishes. We teach daily living skills like these through our Supported Community Living (SCL) program.
We also have an on-site day activities program that offers opportunities for clients to pursue hobbies, socialize and make new friends, based in our central location in Decorah.
Our Clients
Anyone can request our services. We currently serve 100 clients in nine counties. Our clients range in age from 16 to 72. Most of our clients (90 percent) live in their own homes. 10 percent live in residential care facilities.
