Employment
Are you looking for meaningful work? Would you like to gain experience through on-the-job training?
We help people through every step of finding and keeping a job. Our services include:
- Resume building
- Interest and skills assessment
- Job search assistance
- Help in filling out applications
- Interview coaching
- Ongoing employment support
We also provide community work site assessments and job shadowing, which allow clients to observe or “try out” a job to make sure it’s the right fit.
Once a client is on the job, we continue to provide as much or as little support as needed. This might involve anything from being present at the job site, to being available to “debrief” at the end of the workday. We provide support during day, evening and weekend hours.
In our last fiscal year, 20 percent of participants in our program found independent employment. Our employment specialists provided over 200 hours of support each month to individuals working in the community.

We also offer clients the opportunity to join a team, or "enclave," that works alongside regular employees at an area business. These enclaves work in several capacities, like providing quality assurance for a local manufacturer, and custodial services for a bank.
We provide support for both the client and the employer during the enclave hiring process. Then, our job coaches accompany the enclave during training and while "on the job," to help ensure the work meets the employer’s expectations. We also help individuals build natural supports in the workplace so that they can succeed when they no longer need our support.
