Day Activities
In our Adult Day Services program, our clients join in activities like gardening, painting and cooking—often while “out and about” in the community. This program offers opportunities for making friends and exploring new interests.
We offer a wide variety of activities that provide mental stimulation, encourage communication and build confidence.
For example, clients might learn watercolor technique from a local artist, or participate in virtual “bowling” using a Nintendo Wii. Or, they may prefer playing cards, cooking or reading the paper.
While our program is based in our main building in Decorah, we regularly venture out into the community. We cultivate a plot in the Decorah community garden. We visit stores and go on picnics. And we are always on the lookout for events at libraries, museums, parks and other community locations. We provide transportation through Northeast Iowa Transit and local taxi services.
We are open on Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
