From My Perspective to be Presented at CARF International Conference

The Spectrum Network has been invited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) to present a program based on the exemplary project From My Perspective: Essays about Disability (FMP) at their International Conference on February 27, 2012 in Tucson, Arizona. Catherine Baldner, President of The Spectrum Network’s Board of Directors, will present the conference program. The concept of FMP was born as a way of increasing public awareness of the many facets of living with disabilities and to commemorate the thirty-fifth anniversary of The Spectrum Network. Meet and Greet The Spectrum Network's new Executive Director January 24

The Spectrum Network staff and Board of Directors will host a meet and greet reception for Executive Director Deb Schott, PhD, CPA, CIA January 24 from  4-6 PM at 607 Washington Street. Deb assumed her duties November 17th and is continuing the over 35 year mission of creating customized solutions for people so they can live and work in the community.

Deb is formerly from Ossian, and most recently Atkins, Iowa and is delighted to be back in northeast Iowa with the opportunity to serve the community, renew old partnerships, and forge new relationships. Please come join The Spectrum Network staff and Board of Directors as we host a meet and greet to introduce Deb to the community on January 24. Refreshments generously furnished by Sodexo, Inc., Luther College catering service.

Artist reception at the Spectrum Network is January 26

Decorah, Iowa (January 18, 2012) – YRAUNAJ, an exhibit of relief prints by the printmaking collective Broadside Press, including artists Jessica Babcock, Mette Hammer, Gabi Masek, Heidi Olstad, Amanda Rubasch, Jeanine Scheffert and John Snyder, will be on display at The Spectrum Network through February 23. The exhibit begins with an artists’ reception on Thursday, January 26th from 4:30 – 6 PM at 607 Washington Street, Decorah, IA. The reception is free and open to the public, Refreshments generously provided by Sodexo Inc., Luther College catering service. The exhibit will remain on display Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM through February 23rd.
