Presidents Day fair
The Spectrum Network hosted an activity fair on Saturday morning, February 28. Over 50 people attended the event, which highlighted the successes of presidents and other celebrities with disabilities.Four Decorah Middle School students won cash prizes in the display contest: Annika Wahlberg, Cassie Bjerke, Breyin Schultz and Samantha Prast. Each two-person team was awarded 25 dollars.
"This event illustrates possibilities," said Toni Smith, executive director. "A person with a disability can become president of the United States. Many presidents have, in fact, achieved this--they've overcome great barriers. With the right resources, individuals can overcome obstacles and achieve what no one thought possible."
